BODY RECLAMATION AND THE HEALING POWER OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Tuesday, September 24, 2024 @ 9am
Nude photography artist, entrepreneur, Owner/Director of Perth’s leading boudoir photography studio, Crooked Images, and Australia’s badass, Lauren Crooke, is widely-renowned for her breathtaking and thought-provoking mass group nude photoshoots using her trademark medium; the nude form of women and non-binary folk and radical, Western Art-inspired creative composition.
Alicia Schmitt is Wisconsin’s only full service, body affirming boudoir photographer with a studio right on Lake Michigan. Her studio focuses on self-love photography and body image coaching. As an advocate for body diversity, she caters to a wide range of clients. Having a studio set up as a safe space for plus size bodies has always been a top priority, and she strives to shut down the narrative that fat bodies don’t deserve to be photographed.
She’s appeared on multiple podcasts to speak about body liberation, she won Top Small Business Owner in Ozaukee County, and has been a featured photographer on the Embrace Presets’ blog.
Ria is a luxury boudoir photographer known for her authentic, humorous, and sensual approach to capturing her clients’ beauty and confidence. With years of experience in the photography industry, she has mastered the art of presenting her unique blend of personality and expertise online, attracting a dedicated community of followers and clients.
As a speaker and educator, Ria is passionate about helping other photographers embrace their authentic selves and build successful brands. She has overcome the challenges of melding her fun, Cardi B-like demeanor with a luxury brand, learning to incorporate her various brand archetypes into a cohesive online presence.
Through her engaging and insightful teachings, Ria shares her strategies for consistent social media management, focusing on nurturing existing communities rather than chasing algorithms. Her approach emphasizes the importance of making social media presence enjoyable and sustainable, even during challenging times.
With a commitment to authenticity, branding, and consistency, Ria hopes to inspire and guide fellow photographers in mastering their online presence while staying true to themselves.
I am a professional boudoir photographer at OWN Boudoir Studio in
Atlanta, GA! Photography has been my career since 2009 and I’ve been photographing boudoir exclusively since 2012. My business took off in 2010 when I offered a Groupon deal that sold 2000+ vouchers. It taught me some VERY valuable business lessons and helped me find the boudoir genre. Since beginning my boudoir career in 2012 I’ve photographed over 2000 clients in 16 different states and 6 different countries.
I’ve seen slow downs, creative shifts, social changes, and various consumer patterns over the last 15 years that have challenged me to adapt my business and creativity to what life throws at us. I can’t wait to discuss all that I’ve learned and help others adapt and prepare for the road ahead.
In my free time I’m learning how to cook, reading fantasy novels, and traveling with my partner in our RV with our 2 British Shorthair cats!
